Why celebrate Kargil? Lets wait for Team India......

Today is the 10th anniversary of the Kargil war. A celebration for the bravery and victory of our men on the borders. A celebration for all the families who lost someone in the war; to remind them that we care, we have not forgotten anything.

But this is India. No Govt. official present to attend the celebrations, no P.M. or Defence Minister to address the nation. On top of that the comment of a certain minister that there was no reason to celebrate as we did not cross the borders. We merely drove the intruders away!!! Yup sir, what a true statement. The celebrations hampered by all the political muck.

And what about the civilians? Oh we are happy watching a special report on some loud news channel and comfortably putting the issue at the back of the mind.

So what should we celebrate as a nation?? Yes, India winning the Worldcup. Yes. The most appropriate reason to celebrate after all. And even politicians dont bicker and fight as far as cricket is concerned. Then everyone is a part of the nation afterall. Damn the real heroes.

Yeh India hai meri jaan!!!!
